In a stride toward fostering educational excellence, Canadian insurance brokerage, Navacord, has solidified its partnership with the Insurance Management program. At the core of this collaboration lies a generous $25,000 donation for the program's scholarship. The scholarships are aimed at recognizing academic excellence, while also providing financial assistance to students.
Navacord is a leading insurance and risk management firm in Canada with over fifty years of experience providing expert risk and insurance solutions in personal, commercial, and specialty lines, and group benefits.
Over the years, Navacord has been a steadfast supporter of the Insurance Management program, demonstrating its commitment through various initiatives. They established a best-needs bursary to aid students facing financial challenges, providing funds for exam designation fees, textbooks, and other essential costs. Furthermore, Navacord extended opportunities for internships, and mentorship, and actively participates in program guest speaking and recruitment events. The Insurance Management students have immensely benefited from Navacord's engagement, often being presented with full-time roles at Navacord's broker partners.
This collaborative effort wouldn't have been possible without the generous contribution of Navacord's broker partners Paisley Partners, Jones DesLauriers, Mitchell & Abbott, Pitcher & Doyle, and Petrela Winters. Their support, alongside the dedication of key figures like Ewen Cameron, President of Paisley Partners, and Valerie Khan, Vice President of Human Resources at Jones Deslaurier has been instrumental in driving this partnership forward. Humber College extends its heartfelt gratitude to all involved.
