Insurance Management Students Attend IBAO Conference

Over 30 Insurance Management (IMPG) students were invited to the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) Conference this fall. The IBAO Conference is the largest insurance event in Canada, with over 3,000 attendees, 36 speakers, and 29 sponsors attending each year.

This year’s event was held at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. Students that attended had a chance to meet all of the major insurance companies in Canada, and participate in a CEO panel. IMPG Program Coordinator, John McNeil, was also invited to speak about attracting new talent in the industry.

The exciting event ended on a high note when the students were asked to stand in front of thousands of attendees to receive recognition as the future of the industry during the CEO Panel.

A huge thanks to Colin Simpson, Brett Boadway and all of the IBAO staff for all of their hard work and dedication to organize such a fantastic event. A special thanks IMPG faculty, Annette Palalas, Ron Thomas, and Jason Mancini for all of their support and efforts during the conference.
