Humber Polytechnic secured third place at the inaugural national student case competition, hosted by Insurance Career Connections. The event, held from March 12 to 14 at the Insurance Institute office in downtown Toronto, brought together top students from 14 universities and colleges across the country to tackle a complex case on cyber insurance.
The Humber Polytechnic team—comprised of students Naveen Kumarrasamy, Shloka Rasa, (Fifi) Fei Yin Sin, and Rohan Thomas—demonstrated exceptional analytical and collaborative skills, earning a place on the podium for their innovative approach to the case challenge.
Sponsored by industry leaders HUB and Wawanessa, the competition provided participants with valuable insights into the property and casualty insurance sector. Insurance Career Connections, recognized for its efforts in promoting careers in the industry, organized the event to offer students an opportunity to engage with real-world insurance challenges, develop key professional skills, and expand their networks.
