HUB Week Provides Experiential Learning Opportunities

Insurance Management students participated in dynamic hands-on learning during the last week of January as HUB and Totten conducted HUB Week.

HUB Week consisted of technical skills providing students with a chance to interact and learn from industry thought leaders and experts at HUB and Totten.

Totten Insurance Group was founded in 2002 and specializes in solutions for challenging accounts as well as specialty risks. With offices around Canada, Totten supports the broker community in key segments, including commercial property and casualty, healthcare, hospitality, forestry, mining, programs (including roofing, protective services and pollution liability), professional liability and personal lines. As a top three Managing General Agent (MGA), Totten has 140 employees, writing over $220 million in premiums in 2017.

Over the years, HUB has demonstrated tremendous leadership as a company committed to education and Humber College. They have supported the Insurance Management program through scholarships, student mentorships, and leadership via the Program Advisory Committee (PAC), as well as providing several graduates with work placement and full-time job opportunities.
