Marking a significant milestone in an academia-industry collaboration, the Insurance Management – Property and Casualty (P&C) graduate certificate program and HUB International, announced the relaunch of the HUB International Scholarship of Excellence. Amplified by the program's largest scholarship donation ever received, this initiative exemplifies the commitment of both entities to cultivate the next generation of insurance innovators. Elevating the industry-academia bond as the global risk landscape undergoes rapid transformations, the renewed scholarship emerges as a testament to Humber College and HUB International's dedication to shaping students to navigate the multifaceted challenges of the insurance sector.

As the fifth global leader in Canada among insurance brokers, HUB International, operates with a definitive vision; omnipresence in risk landscapes. With its vast workforce of over 18,000 across more than 530 North American offices, HUB is committed to its mission of safeguarding dreams across all walks of life.

The resonance between Humber’s curriculum and HUB's foundational values ensures the scholarship extends beyond financial assistance. As Humber sharpens essential skills like risk assessment and leadership, HUB's mission underlines the indispensable role of such competencies in the industry. "This scholarship relaunch symbolizes more than monetary aid; it’s a beacon for future leadership in the insurance realm. At HUB, we champion values like entrepreneurship and integrity, and through this enriched collaboration, we're infusing these into our future trailblazers," said Jonathan Brathwaite, Director, Talent Acquisition at HUB International Ontario Limited.

HUB International has been a supporter of the program since day one, attending program events, providing students with exciting part-time and full-time opportunities, and providing leadership on the Program Advisory Committee. A special thank you to Jonathan Braithwaite for driving this initiative forward.
