CPL Launches New Disaster Recovery Manager Certificate Program

Responding to the critical need for skilled professionals in disaster recovery, Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) and the Longo Faculty of Business have launched a new Disaster Recovery Manager Certificate program. As natural disasters like wildfires, floods, and tornadoes become increasingly prevalent, the demand for trained individuals to oversee emergency response and recovery efforts has never been higher.

This comprehensive program equips students with the expertise, certifications, and technological skills required to excel in the role of a Disaster Recovery Manager. Spanning 14 weeks and delivered online, the curriculum blends foundational learning with hands-on training, ensuring students are prepared to manage recovery projects from inception to completion.

A key highlight of the program is its partnership with Verisk, a leading technology firm in property restoration, offering students instruction in Xactimate, the industry's premier estimation tool. Upon completion, graduates will earn a professional learning certificate as a Disaster Recovery Manager alongside certifications in Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT) and Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC).
