The Longo Faculty of Business is proud to celebrate the continued partnership between the Insurance Management - Property and Casualty program and HUB International, one of Canada’s leading insurance brokerages. Since the program’s inception, HUB has been a steadfast supporter, providing one of the program’s largest scholarships, hosting field trips to its downtown Toronto headquarters, offering part-time, co-op, and full-time employment opportunities, and inviting students to connect directly with industry professionals during HUB Week.

This ongoing collaboration reflects a shared commitment to developing the next generation of insurance professionals and ensuring that students gain both the academic foundation and real-world experience needed to thrive in the field.

Over the past several years, HUB has welcomed a growing number of Insurance Management graduates into its team, including:

  • Kenneth Enninful (Class of 2024), Account Associate, Complex Risk
  • Sneha Sneha (Class of 2023), Commercial Lines Account Manager (recently promoted this summer)
  • Anne Pathammavong (Class of 2025), Commercial Lines Account Executive
  • Harpreet Kaur (Class of 2025), Commercial Lines Account Assistant, Professional Liability
  • Shubham Upneja (Class of 2024), Commercial Lines Account Associate, Programs
  • Rekha Ravi (Class of 2025), Commercial Lines Account Assistant

These graduates exemplify the power of applied learning and industry partnership. For Anne Pathammavong, now thriving as a Commercial Lines Account Executive at HUB, the program was truly transformative:

“It really is a magical program. I mean, what other program could I take and then become an Account Executive at HUB? Working at HUB has been an incredible experience. Humber gave me a solid foundation in insurance, which really helps every day when I’m talking to clients. HUB’s culture is fantastic, I have mentors supporting me and helping me on a daily basis. It’s also really challenging, and I look forward to coming into the office.”

Partnerships like the one between Humber and HUB International exemplify how collaboration between academia and industry can create pathways to rewarding, long-term careers. Together, they are shaping the future of Canada’s insurance sector, one graduate at a time.

A special thank-you to Jonathan Braithwaite, Director, Talent Acquisition at HUB International Canada, for his dedication and ongoing commitment to supporting Humber students and strengthening this important partnership.
