A Q&A with Human Resources Management Student Manpreet Kaur

Human Resources Management student Manpreet Kaur gained practical knowledge relevant to her field while completing her placement as an HR and Recruitment intern at Randstad.

"The placement helped me apply the practical and theoretical knowledge I had learned," said Manpreet. "I had to interact with clients and customers and provide them with the job opportunities that would be posted on the company's app or website."


Why did you choose the Human Resources Management graduate certificate program?

I chose the Human Resources Management program for its relevancy and to better understand the strategies of the HR and Recruitment process. It also aligned with my interests and helped me learn about different types of candidates and their experiences for selection criteria.

What is the most valuable thing you've learned about work and career?

The most valuable thing I learned is to seize every opportunity because it might be beneficial to your career/future.

What is the most valuable thing you've learned about yourself?

I learned how important is it to interact more with my team regarding work.

The Placement Advisor was supportive and assisted me with selecting the most relevant path that best aligned with what I had learned in the Human Resources Management program.
