HOTM Grads Answer Questions For Current Students
Five graduates of the Hotel & Tourism Operations Management graduate certificate program were invited to come and speak to this year's group of students.
The graduate panel included:
- Sonya Padvani - Sales Coordinator at The King Edward Hotel
- Laura Manderson - Station Manager at Via Rail
- Stacy Alderson – East Africa & Middle East Expert at Kensington Tours
- Faegan Greenwood – F&B Supervisor at The Drake Hotel
- Laura Shaw – Restaurant Manager at East Side Marios
The graduates shared their program experiences and talked about the internships they had leading up to their careers. They were also able to answer student questions and offer excellent advice on how current students could make the most out of the program and their own internships. Other advice included the importance of hard work - showing up early, staying after hours, taking notes, being able to be adaptable and available to help anyone in need.
