Hospitality and Tourism Students Make Meaningful Connections at Alumni Event

On March 8th, the Hospitality and Tourism Management programs hosted a dynamic and engaging alumni event, featuring nine accomplished graduates who returned to campus to share their academic and career insights. The event was conducted in a panel format, with current students posing relevant and thought-provoking questions to the alumni, who responded with candid and inspiring advice.

The alumni, who have pursued successful careers in various sectors of the hospitality and tourism industry, openly shared their experiences and memories of their time at Humber and expressed gratitude for the support they received from their mentors and instructors. Their positive words of wisdom resonated with the students, instilling confidence in them that they too can achieve great success with their education. The students were thrilled to learn about the marvellous opportunities that await them in their future careers.

The energy in the room was palpable throughout the event, and it continued during the open networking session that followed. Students had the opportunity to make connections with the alumni, exchange contact information on LinkedIn, and establish a sense of support and community within the industry.

The impact of the event on the students was lasting, as they left with valuable insights and inspiration from the alumni who have carved successful paths in the hospitality and tourism field.
