The Fundraising Management Postgrad Program Is Returning

In the world of philanthropy, Humber’s reputation for running a postgraduate program in Fundraising Management is considered mission-critical.

“The program has been held in high regard by the charitable sector in Canada and abroad for 20 years. Fundraising executives frequently recommend it to those aspiring to the career. Charities compete for the program's interns and graduates who quickly get hired for full-time jobs,” says Denny Young, Humber Professor, Consultant, and well-recognized leader in the field.

The nonprofit sector in Canada is large, employing 2 million Canadians at more than 170,000 non-profits and charities. *The impact of COVID-19 on philanthropy is evolving and we know that professional and ethical fundraising remains a high demand and important skill set.

Following a year off, the refreshed postgrad program is now open for 2021 applications here.

The program will consist of two full-time terms and features:

  • Leading instructors from organizations such as Kids Help Phone, UHN (University Health Network), War Child, Plan Canada, Pathways to Education, consulting firms, and more
  • A capstone project where students will work with a client organization
  • Exposure to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and their educational activities
  • CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) consistent curriculum (approval process is underway for education points for those who pursue future designation)

People are generous and fundraisers are turning that giving spirit into a meaningful impact.
