In a display of creativity and talent, Alex Nicholson, a final-year student in the Bachelor of Commerce - Fashion Management degree program, showcased his design prowess at REDONE, a live fashion competition presented by RCHIVE. Held to spotlight Toronto's burgeoning design community, the event challenged participants to transform pre-existing overstock garments into couture pieces. Alex emerged victorious, winning the competition by captivating judges and audiences alike with his designs.

The competition unfolded over two 8-hour workdays, during which designers meticulously crafted their creations, followed by a 5-hour fitting and tailoring session. The culmination of their efforts was showcased at the Finale runway show, where attendees had the opportunity to witness the transformative power of fashion and cast their votes for the ultimate winner.

In addition to his triumph at REDONE, Alex's talent caught the attention of Burna Boy's stylist during the rapper's tour in Toronto. Alex was commissioned to design a pair of pants for the Nigerian artist, which Burna Boy proudly wore during his performance in Boston, marking another milestone in Alex's burgeoning career.
