Fashion Management Professor Francesca D'Angelo, was invited to present her poem after submitting it to the Jaipur Literature Festival, Toronto edition, on November 28th. The virtual festival was held from November 27th – 29th and aimed to showcase Canadian talent and international voices.
The pre-recorded video reading of the poem written by Francesca was entitled "To Gen Z". It was an urgent call and commentary on our current state and asked Gen Zs to question as well as reflect on their commitment to a more sustainable future.
Francesca was awarded a small monetary prize for her poem which she is currently looking to donate to a Toronto art initiative to help artists struggling due to the pandemic.
