Fashion Management Students Give Back

During the fall semester, fourth-year Fashion Management degree students volunteered for various charitable organizations in a “Fashion Gives Back” campaign for their Advertising and Promotion Planning class.

The event was held at Humber’s Fashion Institute in aid of The 519 Community Centre, a charitable and non-profit organization that operates a community centre in the Church and Wellesley neighbourhood.

In conjunction with a screening of “The Devil Wears Prada”, students collected gently used clothing and non-perishable food items which were delivered to The 519.

Professor Francesca D’Angelo spearheaded the initiative after being motivated by Professor Anke Foller Carroll’s Professional Development presentation this past June on volunteer-based assignments.
