Event Management Students Secure Fourth Consecutive Win in Ontario Inter-College Competition

This spring saw another triumph for Event Management graduate certificate students as they clinched the top spot in an Ontario-wide inter-college Event Management competition for the fourth consecutive year. Led by a talented team of students consisting of Frances Beg, Francis Phommisai, Jagbeer Singh, Ali AlKhraishi, and Dev Patel, the team outshone seven other competitors in the advanced category to claim the coveted first-place title.

For the competition, participants were tasked with creating a comprehensive event plan within a week's timeframe, based on a provided case study. The team's meticulous preparation and execution impressed judges from Meeting Professionals International (MPI). Following the submission of a PowerPoint presentation and a recording of their pitch on March 22nd, the group, operating under the company name "Cosmic Events," progressed to the finals on March 23rd, where they engaged in a live Q&A session with the panel of judges.

The victory provided significant attention to the students and their future careers, with judges interested in hiring opportunities for standout individuals.
