Event Management Students Compete in the Inaugural Event Industry Student Competition

On the weekend of February 4th, 2022, Humber Event Management Students competed in the inaugural Event Industry Student Competition. They competed against teams from other colleges in Ontario with the competition sponsored by the premiere industry association, Meeting Professionals International (MPI). Humber participated with 3 teams entering the competition.

The event kicked off with a welcome from Senior Deans/Deans/Associate Deans from the participating colleges. Students were then given a case study to work on over the weekend. On Sunday, February 6, students presented their ideas and solutions to a panel of MPI Industry Experts, in hopes of winning either 1st or 2nd place.

Our students brought their A-Game and cleaned up! A team of Post Graduate students won 1st place and second-semester Diploma students won 2nd place!
