EVENT MANAGEMENT ALUMNI TURN CAPSTONE PROJECT INTO PERMANENT VENTURE

A group of four Event Management postgraduate alumni (2017/2018 cohort) got inspired by the success of their Capstone event, SheBoss, and decided to turn it into a permanent venture. Together with their moderator, Michelle Cowell (Humber PAC member), they launched their second event, a panel discussion called “SHE BOSS - The Raw Truth & How-To’s!” on October 21, 2018, just six months after their Capstone project.
This time the conversation was steered toward the “raw truths” associated with being a woman in business. It was an honest conversation about entrepreneurship, being your own boss, and putting in the work to make your dreams come true.
The event was sold out two weeks before the date and was a great success. The event raised money for two charities: The New Beginnings Support Program and The 100 Wells Malawi Project run by Humanity First.
