Business Management Students Gain Insight at Empire Club's Annual Financial Outlook Forum

A group of students from the Global Business Management and Business Management – Entrepreneurial Enterprise graduate certificate programs attended the Empire Club's Annual Financial Outlook Forum. Held amidst a luncheon setting, the event served as a platform for extensive discussions on strategies to position Canada as a destination for foreign investment, addressing pivotal issues anticipated to shape the nation's economy for decades to come.

Moderated by John McKenzie, CEO of the TSX Group, the forum featured Earl R. Davis, a member of Humber College's Board of Governors, among the panelists. Following the formal proceedings, Mr. Davis engaged with Humber students, offering valuable additional insights into the Canadian economic landscape.

Attending students included Eniolaye Mekuleyi, Ashish Thapa, Katherine Tolentino,  Vithushana Rajendran, Chiragi Chetan Acharya, Jovin Manjaly, Artem Korotkov, Jessica Pinto, and Alexander Alpha. Their participation not only deepened their understanding of economic issues but also provided a unique opportunity to network with seasoned industry professionals.

In addition to Humber students, several faculty members graced the event, including Steven Lorini, Nikolas Tsirgielis, Fabian Marks, Francesca D'Angelo, John Moscardelli, Susan Kates, and Sanjay Gandhi.

Attending the Empire Club event provided students with an opportunity to enhance their professional skills, crucial for their future success. They also gained insight into the significance of problem-solving and critical thinking. Through the speaker panel's analysis of current market conditions, students learned how this informs the evolving Canadian economic landscape. These discussions offered valuable insights for integrating into their program requirements and career aspirations.
