On March 8th, fourth-year Digital Business Management students Lubnaa Aamirah and Tabassum Hawlader celebrated International Women's Day by attending an industry event hosted by Snowflake in collaboration with AWS and Toronto Womxn in Data Science, accompanied by Professor Hanadi Alnawab.
The event "Mastering Professional & Personal Growth," provided an opportunity for peers in the Toronto tech industry to come together for networking, open dialogue, and thought leadership. The event kicked off with a panel discussion featuring local leaders in tech, who shared their perspectives and experiences on best practices and challenges in prioritizing diversity in the workplace. This was followed by a light lunch and networking session.
During the event, the students had the chance to ask questions and gain insights from industry experts during the Q&A session. This valuable opportunity allowed them to engage with professionals in their field and broaden their understanding of current industry trends and issues.
As part of the Logos Faculty of Business's commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity, events like these provide students with meaningful opportunities to connect with industry leaders and foster professional growth. This participation in the International Women's Day industry event exemplifies the proactive and engaged approach of our Digital Business Management students in staying abreast of industry developments and expanding their network.
