Digital Business Management Students Welcome Industry Leaders in Speaker Series

In an enriching addition to the Fall 2023 Industry Speaker series, Bachelor of Commerce – Digital Business Management students welcomed two distinguished professionals from the industry.
Mary Tran, Design Lead at Futureproof, illuminated her expertise on November 6th. Her insights centred on leveraging Figma to transform lo-fi prototypes into digital assets, including mockups, animations, and TikTok-compatible videos. With a focus on crafting innovative designs for web and mobile applications, Mary showcased the utilization of Figma's templated resources, providing students with hands-on experience.
Subsequently, on November 13th, Billal Qureshi, Head of Mobile & Apps Experience at Google, engaged with students at the Lakeshore campus. His session delved into the intricacies of UX and UI design while sharing invaluable experiences from his career journey within Google's UX Design realm.
Both speakers offered practical guidance, aligning with the collaborative project involving the TOUR 3000 - International and Canadian Tourism class and the development of a Canadian tourism app prototype.
