Congratulations to Lauren Ashmore on pursuing her MBA with a focus on online marketing strategies, analytics, and data science at The DeGroote School of Business – McMaster University.
Lauren graduated from the Digital Business Management program in 2018 and is also a graduate of Humber’s Film and Television Productions program in 2011. During her four years in the Digital Business Management program, Lauren continuously participated in extracurricular activities and attended conferences and workshops such as Unbounce, and participated in running Build Your Own Website workshop at Arts Milton. She also volunteered her time to share her experience by facilitating hands-on workshops such as Photoshop and video editing as part of TechWeek events.
Lauren is an award recipient student and continues to give back and support students and the program, with the most recent being the Digital Business Student Association’s Lunch with Grads initiative.
Along with her work in the field of digital marketing, Lauren has been teaching cinematography at Humber since 2016, and was the Media Faculty Lead for the 2018/2019 Humber Online Solutions projects where she hired, coached, and led five teams of Humber students as they produced promotional videos for small businesses in Toronto and the GTA. The projects were funded by Ontario Centre of Excellence and supported by Humber’s Applied Research & Innovation.
Lauren’s most recent work as a cinematographer is a documentary titled “Weekender”, funded by Canada Council for the Arts. Watch the trailer here, and visit the event page on Facebook.
