Culinary Student and Humber Chef Lead Live Cooking Demo at RAWF

Second-year Culinary Management student, Dacyion Reid, accompanied by the program coordinator, Chef Shonah Chalmers led a live cooking demonstration at the 97th annual Royal Agricultural Winter Fair (RAWF).

RAWF attendees were given the chance to book cooking sessions alongside chefs at the Royal’s Burnbrae Farms Culinary Academy throughout the 10 days of the Fair.

On November 10th, Dacyion and Chef Chalmers were hosted by the Burnbrae Farms Culinary Academy, Dairy Farmers of Ontario and Food Entrepreneur, Trevor Lui for the event. The chefs demystified how to make a pumpkin risotto with Ontario swiss cheese and sage, while 30 participants cooked along with them at their stations.
