Cosmetic Management Students Thrive in Pop-Up Shop Partnership with Nudestix

Welcoming spring 2023, budding entrepreneurs in the Cosmetic Management program were granted a chance to showcase their talents by establishing and operating their own retail pop-up shop in collaboration with Nudestix, a renowned Canadian cosmetic brand. This endeavour formed an integral part of the final semester's Experiential Learning course.

Students were responsible for all elements of the project including inventory management, product selection, staffing, merchandising, and marketing. Through meticulous planning and execution, students were able to put into practice the business acumen they acquired throughout their time in the program.

The event commenced with a private opening on March 27th for sponsors and industry members. Following the opening, the pop-up shop welcomed visitors daily until April 5th, offering a wide array of cosmetic products. Demonstrating their adeptness in cosmetic application and persuasive selling techniques, the students achieved an impressive sales record that exceeded initial expectations.

The pop-up shop experience not only provided a platform for these students to exhibit their skills, but it also served as a testament to the practical application of their knowledge within a real-world business setting.
