Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation Creates Scholarship to Support Graduates of New Beginnings Program

The Longo Faculty of Business is proud to announce the creation of the CST Foundation New Beginnings Scholarship, made possible through a generous donation from the Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation (CST Foundation). This new award is designed to provide graduates of the New Beginnings Support Program with the chance to take the next step in their journey by pursuing a post-secondary education at Humber.

For many women who complete the New Beginnings Program, financial hardship can be a significant barrier to higher education and career advancement. This scholarship directly addresses those barriers by covering a substantial portion of tuition and helping students gain a full post-secondary experience both inside and outside the classroom.

The CST Foundation New Beginnings Scholarship will provide two renewable scholarships of $6,000 each year for students entering the Business Management diploma program.

Since 2004, the New Beginnings Support Program has empowered women to break the cycle of poverty and pursue self-reliance. Participants include youth, women living in shelters, newcomers, those on Ontario Works or Ontario Disability, and women who have aged out of the foster care system.

Humber extends heartfelt thanks to Peter Lewis, President and CEO of CST Foundation, whose leadership and generosity made this scholarship possible.
