In a bittersweet moment, the Longo Faculty of Business bid farewell to its cohort of 2024 international graduates from the Business Administration program, marking a twenty-six-year partnership between Humber and Ningbo University in China.
A Celebration of Success took place on April 22nd at the Lakeshore Campus, drawing students, faculty, and staff together for a memorable event. Longo Faculty of Business Senior Dean, Alvina Cassiani, delivered an inspiring address to the graduating class, joined by Senior Dean and Principal of the Humber Lakeshore Campus, Derek Stockley, who presented certificates to each student. Also in attendance were Longo Faculty of Business Associate Deans James Cullen, Linda Jin Troendle, John McNeil, Bruce Sinclair, and Michael MacDougall, the Director of the Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE), John Lam, and the Principal of Humber International Graduate School (IGS), Diane Simpson. Among the special guests, students were particularly grateful for the presence of their Professor Dylan Scammell and former Program Manager Qiong (Joan) Wang. Valedictorian Zhu Haowei (Aries) delivered a thoughtful speech on his journey to Canada and the invaluable lessons learned from his business professors.
The graduating class comprising nineteen students, now looks ahead to their future endeavors, with eighteen planning to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce at York University through an academic pathway. As they embark on this new chapter, we extend our heartfelt wishes for their continued success!
