This semester, seven third-, fourth- and fifth-year students from the Business Administration - Accounting diploma program secured accounting positions at the Canada Revenue Agency, the first time that CRA has taken college students in a co-op.
The students will be working at CRA locations in Mississauga and Hamilton. Their duties will include, account compliance, such as working with taxpayers that are not up to date with their filings. One student has already been pulled off to work on an additional special project. Due to the programs excellent training in personal income tax and financial accounting, all of these students were very well prepared to take on this opportunity.
