On March 29, accounting students from across the province vied for top honours in the Ontario Colleges Accounting Case Competition. Teams from Humber Polytechnic, George Brown College, Seneca Polytechnic, Sheridan College, Niagara College and St. Clair College competed, with George Brown College taking home top bragging rights. The teams were tasked with performing a thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis of a case study developed specifically for this competition and presenting before a panel of external Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) judges.

The judges remarked upon the high level of professionalism demonstrated by all competitors and were especially impressed with the students’ willingness to take on the challenge of the competition in addition to standard program requirements.

Congratulations to the following Humber students who competed: Shane D’mello, Navreen Kaur, Krusthi Dipesh Solanki, Thomas Leszko, Ngar Suet Sage Man and Godwin Erl Nebrida.

A special thanks to all who contributed to making the day a success. A strong panel of experienced judges generously shared their time and expertise. Faculty, administration, and student volunteers all played an important role—this event would not have been possible without their support!
