Maria Rausch, a fourth-year Paralegal Studies degree student and member of the Steering Committee for the Lions Cup Mooting Competition, was invited to attend the Rebellious Lawyering Conference (RebLaw) at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Held from February 28 to March 1, 2025, the conference is the largest student-run legal event in the United States, bringing together lawyers, professors, students, and community advocates to explore innovative approaches to law and social justice.

The two-day event featured panels and workshops on topics such as movement lawyering, racial justice, and community-based advocacy, with a focus on addressing systemic barriers related to race, class, and gender. For Maria, the conference was an invaluable opportunity to broaden her perspective on the law’s role in advancing equity and access to justice.
