Paralegal Studies Guest Speaker Addresses Equality in the Legal Profession

The Bachelor of Paralegal Studies degree program hosted Akua Carmichael, Barrister and Solicitor and Senior Associate at Dale and Lessman LL.P as a guest speaker in Charter of Rights and Freedoms classes.

Akua's article on systemic racism has received praise for its honest look at the work that still needs to be done to ensure equal access to the legal profession. Students responded enthusiastically by asking challenging questions about racism and our guaranteed Section 15 Charter right to equality.
