Paralegal Studies Graduate Excels in Municipal Government Role

Olga Marchenko, an Honours graduate of the Bachelor of Paralegal Studies program, has successfully embarked on a career in municipal government. She serves as Administrative Coordinator in the Legal and Clerks Services Department with the Corporation of the City of St. Catharines, part of the Niagara Region and the eighth largest urban area in Ontario.

In her role, Olga is responsible for preparing information for by-law infraction prosecutions, drafting by-laws from Municipal Council minutes, preparing court documents, and assisting with budget preparation and reporting. To support her work, she has completed modules in a Municipal Law program, covering topics such as Municipal Contracts and Municipal Land-Related Law.

Olga earned her Paralegal License from the Law Society of Ontario. She expressed her gratitude to Bachelor of Paralegal Studies Program Coordinator Bernie Aron, acknowledging his guidance and support throughout her journey, which she credits as instrumental in achieving her goals.
