Navneet Ranu graduated from the Bachelor of Paralegal Studies degree program in 2018. She began her legal career in the public sector during her field placement as a Paralegal Intern with the Tax Law Services Division of the Department of Justice Canada. Upon graduation, she continued her employment as a Litigation Assistant with the Department of Justice, and her responsibilities included legal work in the recovery section involving bankruptcy and insolvency matters
In 2020, Navneet was accepted for admission to the J.D. Program at the University of Windsor Law School. While in Law School, Navneet volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada where she supported the rights of disabled individuals in housing matters. In her final year, Navneet represented Windsor Law in the Tort Law Moot, developing a keen interest in personal injury cases.
Navneet began working at Gluckstein Personal Injury Lawyers as an articling student, drawing upon her past work and academic endeavours to compassionately serve the needs of injured clients. Now as an Associate, she will be focusing her practice on representing clients who have suffered from personal injuries.
Reflecting on her path, Navneet credits her early foundation at Humber as instrumental to her success. “I remain deeply grateful for Professor Aron's mentorship early in this journey, which guided me through the Paralegal Studies degree program at Humber and my co-op placement with the Department of Justice Canada,” she shared. “Those experiences were foundational and have paved a rewarding path.”
Navneet’s journey highlights how a strong academic foundation, combined with hands-on experience, can open doors across the legal profession.
