Adam Obeid, a 2025 graduate of the Bachelor of Paralegal Studies degree program, has been accepted to the University of Leicester Law School in the United Kingdom. Leicester Law is ranked among the top 10 in student experience by The Times. Adam joins approximately 500 Canadian students at the Law School, which offers a tailored curriculum that includes two Canadian Law modules. On November 1, 2024, President Ann Marie Vaughan of Humber Polytechnic and President Nishan Canagarajah of the University of Leicester signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a pathway for Humber students to pursue their LL.B. degree at Leicester Law School.
Adam was admitted to the two-year Senior Status LL.B. program and is completing first-year courses in Contract Law, Tort Law, Constitutional & Administrative Law, and Foundations of Law. He graduated from Humber’s four-year Paralegal Studies degree program with Honours standing. During his field placement, Adam worked as a student paralegal with a law firm in Ottawa, where he conducted legal research, prepared legal documents, and interviewed clients. He also volunteered with the Syrian Canadian Foundation, supporting the initial settlement of refugee families in Canada.
