David Yoshimoto, an Honours graduate of the Bachelor of Paralegal Studies program, has established a career as an eDiscovery specialist. Leveraging his field placement experience with the Tax Law Services Division at the Department of Justice Canada, David has advanced to the role of Senior Consultant, where he manages eDiscovery document review projects.
David Yoshimoto describes his strengths as being in Relativity software, where he attained the Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) certification, and with data processing using Nuix. His ability to develop new workflows and tailor solutions to client needs has positioned him as a leader in the eDiscovery field.
Beyond his professional achievements, David has maintained strong ties to Humber Polytechnic, playing a key role in training Paralegal Studies students in eDiscovery practices. His efforts have helped equip future legal professionals with the skills to review documents for relevance and privilege—critical competencies in complex litigation cases and for ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities.
In recognition of his expertise, David was appointed Manager, Forensic and Financial Crime at Deloitte in Vancouver. In this role, he will assist in training and managing forensic investigation teams and contribute to the firm’s use of advanced technology to detect, mitigate, and investigate financial crimes.
