Paralegal Studies Degree Graduate Attending Law School at Queen’s University Belfast Excels in Irish National Moot Competition

Fallon Burns, a 2015 honours graduate of the Bachelor of Paralegal Studies degree program, represented her law school at Queen’s University Belfast in the Dublin City University National Moot Competition on November 19th and 20th, 2022.

The Republic of Ireland National Moot invites mooting teams from across Ireland, and the United Kingdom, including Oxford University, Ulster University and Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland. There were over 30 mooting teams representing 14 universities. The moot problem examined the civil tort of nervous shock.

Fallon Burns and her mooting partner from Calgary had outstanding results in reaching the semi-finals. She credits her success to the years of support in Humber’s Paralegal Studies degree program where she represented Humber College in national mooting competitions.
