Paralegal Studies graduate Diana Padierna, has been appointed Executive Director of the Landlord’s Self-Help Centre (LSHC), a specialized community legal clinic funded by Legal Aid Ontario. The LSHC is mandated to provide critical support to Ontario’s small landlord community through casework, public education initiatives, and law reform activities.

Her journey with the LSHC began during her field placement as part of the Paralegal Studies program, where she first gained hands-on experience in the legal field.

Before her appointment as Executive Director, Diana served as a Community Legal Worker at the LSHC, providing summary legal advice and addressing inquiries related to residential landlord and tenant legislation. She later advanced to the role of Acting Senior Community Legal Worker, where she developed training programs for paralegal students and collaborated with the Executive Director to update public education materials on the LSHC website.

Reflecting on her achievements, Diana credits her success to the education and training she received at Humber Polytechnic.
