Paralegal Graduate Credits Humber for Success in Legal Industry and Admission to Law School

Jenna Riina, a 2023 honours graduate of the Bachelor of Paralegal Studies program, has expressed her excitement at being admitted to the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University beginning in September 2023.

In a statement, Jenna stated, "I am happy and grateful to be a part of the 2026 class of the Lincoln Alexander School of Law!" She also credited her success to the skills she acquired during her time at Humber, which helped her land various roles with law firms such as Allan M. Freedman, Cassels Brock & Blackwell, and TD Insurance's Litigation Department. Jenna explained that each role provided her with the opportunity to apply her learning in practical roles, while the insights she received from her instructors and curriculum were exemplary.

Jenna also spoke highly of the welcoming and supportive environment at Humber, where she was able to create her student club, Global Affairs. As the president of this club, she provided a platform for students to learn about politics and diversify their interests. Additionally, she volunteered with the Best Buddies program, which is dedicated to inclusivity and friendship, and served as an orientation leader and mentor for the First Year Experience (FYE) peer mentoring program. These experiences, according to Jenna, enabled her to better understand the students' needs at Humber and develop her passion for advocacy.

Overall, Jenna is thrilled to be continuing her education at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law and is confident that her experiences at Humber have prepared her well for this next step in her academic journey.
