Paralegal Grad Accepts Admission to Law School

Samantha Hawthorne, a 2021 honours graduate of the Bachelor of Paralegal Studies program was accepted for admission to the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University. She is the second Paralegal Studies degree graduate to be attending the J.D. (Juris Doctor) program at Queen’s University in Kingston.

Samantha credits her success at Humber to the teaching excellence of Professors Karen Schucher and John Allen, who also provided letters of reference for her law school application.

Before attending Queen's University, Samantha was employed as a legal assistant at a boutique law firm specializing in corporate and securities law. As a law school student, she is a volunteer with the Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic assisting student caseworkers on various files, including landlord and tenant matters, human rights disputes, and criminal law proceedings.
