Humber Excels at 2020 Osgoode Cup Mooting Competition

The 2020 Osgoode Cup National Undergraduate Mooting Competition took place at the Osgoode Hall Law School on March 7th and 8th. Across Canada, 17 universities and colleges competed in the event, with a total of 120 mooting teams.

Three teams from the Bachelor of Paralegal Studies degree program represented Humber and were coached by graduates Paige Diebel, Senior Paralegal with Mason Caplan Roti LLP, and Aram Simovonian, Civil Litigation Lawyer.

Humber mooting team students, Elizabeth Hamilton and Elena Ferjani placed 6th overall out of 16 teams. The following day, the students advanced even further with success in the quarterfinals and the semi-finals, placing as one of four final teams out of 120.

In addition to the success of the mooting team, Humber Paralegal Studies degree graduates, Sabrina Lombardi and Tudor Gagea won the Top Oralist Award at the 2019 Osgoode Cup and were selected as judges at the 2020 Osgoode Cup.
