Human Resources Management Alumni Turns Internship Into A Full-Time Position

Alexandra Stuckless applied to the Ontario Internship Program (OIP) in her last semester in the BComm in Human Resources Management. The OIP is a full-time, paid internship for recent graduates to work in the Ontario Public Service. The internship process is extremely competitive but Alexandra was confident that the knowledge and experiences gained at Humber would give me a competitive advantage over other applicants.

She was successful and accepted an offer to join the OIP internship. Less than 6 months later, she was offered a full-time, regular position as a Program Coordinator for the Ministry and Heritage, Sport, Tourism, and Culture Industries. In Alexandra’s own words, “I am grateful to my professors at Humber for providing me with the tools, knowledge, and guidance that has helped me to be successful in my career so far and to land my goal of working in the Ontario Public Service”.
