Work-Integrated Learning Centre Placement Advisor, Andrew Bascome, attended The Boulevard Club Student Felicitation Event on April 19th to celebrate the achievements of their interns affiliated with the club. The event provided a platform for both students and staff to reflect on the enriching experiences and mentorship cultivated throughout the internship period. Amidst heartfelt anecdotes and expressions of gratitude, staff members commended the dedication and diligence exhibited by the students, who reciprocated by acknowledging the opportunities extended to them and the support received from their respective teams.

The event extended invitations to representatives from various educational institutions. Following a tour led by Human Resources Co-ordinator, Ravi Madas, attendees were acquainted with the club's amenities, including a gymnasium, swimming pool, and an array of dining options available year-round.

The celebratory atmosphere was palpable as participants gathered in the ballroom for a farewell gathering, where students were presented with tokens of appreciation and enjoyed moments of camaraderie with their teams. Representing Humber was Archie Khemani from the Culinary Management program, underscoring the diverse academic affiliations present at the event.

Concluding the festivities, students were awarded certificates of completion for their time at The Boulevard Club. The event underscored the club's approach to fostering collaborative relationships among employers, training supervisors, placement advisors, and students, culminating in an afternoon dedicated to acknowledging the efforts invested in facilitating meaningful work-integrated learning opportunities.

The significance of such initiatives was further underscored by the announcement that many interns had been offered employment for the forthcoming summer season, exemplifying the tangible outcomes of work-integrated learning. The Boulevard Club's steadfast commitment to nurturing talent and fostering partnerships with educational institutions was duly recognized and appreciated.

A special thanks to Director of Human Resources Alena Miatlushka, Human Resources Co-ordinator Ravi Madas, and Executive Chef Jun Geem for their invaluable contributions towards the success of the event and the ongoing collaboration between the club and Humber
