On February 12th, the Toronto Chapter of theInternational Practice Management Association (IPMA) convened for its annual meeting at the offices of Wildeboer Dellelce LLP, bringing together influential professionals in the realms of law firms, and legal departments. This exclusive gathering played host to distinguished representatives from Seneca College, Durham College, and Humber College, to discuss Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities for students in legal programs.
In an informative presentation, Mary Anne Myers, Placement Advisor at the Work-Integrated Learning Centre within the Longo Faculty of Business, engaged IPMA members with insights into the benefits of hiring students from the Law Clerk and Paralegal programs. Mary Anne highlighted the WIL requirements for each of the four legal programs, underscoring the importance of strong industry partnerships.
This collaborative event not only served as a forum for sharing valuable information, but also laid the foundation for future business relationships.
