HLOs:
The Fall Career Fair organized by the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Centre spanned two days, taking place on November 8th and 9th. The event drew the participation of fifty-two industry partners, comprising a total of one hundred and twenty-five employer representatives, and an impressive turnout of seven hundred and sixty-five students.
While the fair primarily targeted programs in culinary arts, baking and pastry, tourism, hospitality, event, golf, healthcare and retirement home management, it was open to all students and welcomed many from other faculties and programs throughout Humber College. The extensive participation indicated a strong interest and engagement from students and employers alike.
This year's fair was a resounding success, fostering networking opportunities and facilitating work-integrated partnerships. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm and positivity, creating an interactive platform where employers actively sought new talent.
An integral part of this experiential event was the contribution of over forty-five student volunteers from the Event Management graduate certificate program.
