What is the structure of the internship program at The Boulevard Club?

They are looking for interns to start in January. They offer a comprehensive training and job shadowing program across numerous departments that either fully pays their interns or partially pays and covers their work expenses. The interns also have the opportunity to meet with the General Manager of The Boulevard Club to conduct a very valuable informational interview to prepares them to take the next steps in their career. Based on their performance during the internship, interns may transition to employment after their work term.

What is the value of attending Career Fairs/industry events?

These events give students an opportunity to learn about relevant industry organizations of various sizes. They also provide an opportunity to strengthen their networking skills and improve their chances of landing an internship.

What tips can they offer for students to prepare for a career fair?

Students should use the list of employers to research and prepare for networking conversations ahead of time. Prepare questions ahead of time, take notes, and make a plan to follow up with the connections made at the event.

Has The Boulevard Club worked with Humber College students before? What has the experience been like with students?

The Boulevard club has worked with numerous Humber College students and alumni. These students have consistently excelled in the training program and many have transitioned to full-time work with the organization.
