HLOs:
The Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Centre, in collaboration with the Humber Legal Association (HLA), hosted an engaging panel presentation by Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. The panel consisting of Stefi Rodrigo, Legal Secretarial Support Supervisor; Sarah Hughes, Talent Acquisition Specialist; Kathy Tapper, Manager of Legal Secretarial Support; and Alyssa Fragomeni, Legal Assistant and Humber alumna, delivered insights to legal students in a hybrid format, blending virtual and in-person participation. The panellists provided helpful advice to legal students, sharing practical tips on navigating the application process for WIL and new graduate opportunities.
Former Humber WIL students, including Alyssa Fragomeni, Carlyle Fitzpatrick, Bhajanpreet Matharu, and Johann Uy, shared compelling testimonials highlighting their invaluable experiences at Osler. They emphasized the firm's supportive work environment, exceptional mentorship, and unparalleled learning opportunities.
Maria Rausch, President of HLA, and Dion Desserre, Director of Mooting, were instrumental in organizing the event, strengthening the WIL Centre's collaboration with Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. Maria also served as the moderator. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive and students are eager to be part of Osler’s hiring process this spring.
