On February 10, the Toronto Chapter of the International Practice Management Association (IPMA) convened its annual meeting at the offices of Fogler, Rubinoff LLP, gathering leading professionals from the legal sector. The event featured presentations by representatives from Durham College, Seneca Polytechnic, and Humber Polytechnic, focusing on Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities for students in legal programs.
Longo Faculty of Business WIL Placement Advisor Mary Anne Myers delivered an insightful presentation to IPMA members. She outlined the role of the WIL Team and emphasized the benefits of hiring students from Humber’s Law Clerk and Paralegal programs. Mary Anne also detailed the WIL requirements for each of the four legal programs, highlighting the importance of fostering strong partnerships between educational institutions and the legal industry.
The meeting provided a platform for meaningful dialogue, enabling attendees to establish valuable business connections and explore mutually beneficial networking opportunities.
