HLOs:
The collaborative efforts of the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Centre and the Humber Society of Accounting Students (HSAS) culminated in a highly successful recruitment event, fostering valuable connections between students and potential employers.
With a turnout of over two hundred and fifty students, the event provided a platform for meaningful interactions with eleven employer partners, including industry leaders such as PWC, BDO, RSM, Grant Thornton, MNP, Richter, Baker Tilly, BMO, TD, Deloitte, and CRA. The enthusiasm and professionalism exhibited by both students and employer representatives underscored the event's success.
Thank you to HSAS board members Christopher Patalen and Kamila Rupan-Singh as well as Placement Advisor Emma Phan and the dedicated WIL team for their planning and execution. A special thanks to the student volunteers whose efforts ensured the smooth registration of all attendees.
Such recruitment initiatives not only offer students exposure to diverse career opportunities but also serve as a platform for honing crucial presentation and communication skills. The event reflects Humber's commitment to facilitating meaningful connections between students and industry professionals.
