On March 25, 2025, the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology and the Longo Faculty of Business hosted their first collaborative Career and Networking Fair at the Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation (BCTI). Jointly organized by the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) teams from both faculties, the event brought together over 47 employer partners actively recruiting for both field experience and post-graduate opportunities.
Employers represented a wide range of industries, including:
The fair drew more than 750 students from a variety of academic backgrounds, who engaged with company representatives to explore career opportunities, learn about recruitment practices, and gain insight into organizational cultures.
A highlight of the event came from the Supply Chain Management program, where three students secured interview invitations—and were subsequently hired as Dispatch Support Interns at Trimac Transportation—thanks to successful networking with a Humber graduate.
The event’s success was further supported by the contributions of 7 student ambassador volunteers, whose efforts helped ensure a smooth and engaging experience for both students and employers.
The Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology and the Longo Faculty of Business look forward to continuing this cross-faculty collaboration to further enhance student career readiness and industry engagement.
