As a Community Ambassador, Work-Integrated Learning Centre Placement Advisor Sanjukta Das successfully engaged students in the Living with Wellness Arts Festival 2024, organized by V Serve Canada at Mississauga's Celebration Square.
The event transcended typical volunteer activities, offering students a unique platform to network within the community, gain invaluable experience, and connect with peers. Despite an early 7 am start and challenging weather conditions, sixty-five students demonstrated dedication and enthusiasm, inspiring all present.
The students' unwavering commitment and determination, even in the face of rain, were truly commendable. They not only executed their tasks with excellence but also embraced the learning opportunities that volunteering presented.
This event was especially beneficial for international students, who eagerly seized the chance to network and engage with the local community. Their involvement highlighted the diverse and inclusive spirit of the festival.
Thank you to all the students for their volunteer efforts and to everyone who supported them. The collective contributions underscores the strength and compassion of the Humber community.
This festival served as a testament to the incredible potential of our students to effect positive change. Their hard work and dedication are truly inspiring, and we look forward to witnessing their continued contributions to the community.
