HLOs:
World Vision celebrated the first graduation of its global Cash Academy program in partnership with Humber Polytechnic, marking a significant step in their collaboration launched in the summer of 2024. Through this initiative, Humber Polytechnic delivers micro-credentials and certificates to World Vision participants, equipping them with critical skills to lead impactful humanitarian projects.
Developed as part of World Vision’s Cash Roadmap initiative, the Cash Academy aims to enhance the quality of Cash and Voucher Programs (CVP) worldwide by building capacity at the field level through targeted training, mentoring, and coaching. Participants engage in online courses, webinars, and hands-on projects that strengthen the core competencies essential for effective CVP implementation. “It’s a wonderful initiative aimed at building and enhancing existing capacities to support the growth and quality implementation of Cash and Voucher programs,” noted Andre Banu from Moldova.
The graduation event featured participants from around the world, expanding the Cash Academy alumni network to approximately 600 World Vision staff from 51 countries. Representing Humber Polytechnic at the celebration was John McNeil, Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) Associate Dean of the Longo Faculty of Business.
Humber extends heartfelt congratulations to all Cash Academy graduates as they prepare to make meaningful contributions to humanitarian work globally.
