Work-integrated Learning Centre Hosts Information Session on Healthcare Industry

Digital Health Project Manager at North York General Hospital, Sarah Ali, joined the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Centre on November 12th for a virtual session.

Sarah shared her work and education history within the healthcare field. She started by pursuing her undergraduate degree in Health Studies and then completed a certificate in Public Health Emergency. Sarah is currently obtaining her Master’s in Health Informatics.

Sarah encouraged students to understand their skills and interests to make informed career decisions and connect with others by attending workshops, reaching out to individuals in their chosen sectors, and conducting informational interviews. She also provided students with useful tips on how to find meaningful WIL opportunities.

Students were able to ask questions regarding Sarah’s experiences with the public health sector and roles that would be a good fit for recent graduates.
